I first became aware of the work of Paul Caponigro in 1970 with the publication, Paul Caponigro: An Aperture Monograph, 1967. Hi example was in large part the reason I dedicated my life to photography and teaching. I was fortunate to meet Paul when he came to RIT in 1975 to give a week-end workshop for the photography MFA students that included shooting and darkroom time.
